TONDA PIZZA is NYC’s cheeky Italian, artisanal pizzeria, and home of the original craft Pizzetta and Pinsa Pies.
We strive to bring a slice of Italy to NY with playful style, charm and enthusiasm for pizza and life as well as celebrate NYC with our NY Slice!
Pizzetta
This beloved little savroy 6" pie is easily recognizable, with a unique taste, known as chic Italian street food. The roots of the Pizzetta goes back to the middle of last century, where they were enjoyed in cool resort areas on the Italian Riviera, delivered seaside in wicker baskets. Traditionally they are served folded in a wrapper.

Pinsa
The Pinsa is a high hydration (over 80%) finger pressed dough, that is crispy on the outside, with light airy pockets and simply irresistible.
Pinsa has been part of Roman artisanal baking for over 100 years. The long fermentation process is integral to creating the dough's texture, unique flavor profile and high digestibility trait.
Italy's proud traditions in the culinary arts are profound. We maintain those traditions by preparing these unique doughs, using ingredients that are highly curated, and sourced with a tremendous attention to detail, which is something we value greatly.
We celebrate NYC by adding the famous NY Slice to our arsenal of Pies!
Our flour is a blend of Italian, organic, unbleached wheat that is never bromated. We take great care in the preparation and managing of our dough. The high hydration results in more premium dough characteristics, with light airy bubbly pockets and our long fermentation process ensures high digestibility with the most elegant, airy, crunchy crust and rich flavor profile
